Shinku

There is always a catalyst to how people get into a hobby. For me, I got into the BJD hobby through the manga & anime Rozen Maiden by PEACH-PIT. It was through the franchise I learned about the existence of BJDs through the official Volks Super Dollfie & Rozen Maiden collaboration dolls. Upon seeing them, I couldn't help but feel mesmerized seeing these dolls, and once I made my first trip to Tenshi no Sato in Kyoto to see if I really liked these dolls, I knew it was the hobby for me. Without Rozen Maiden, I believe I would have never been in this hobby in the first place.

When I saw the announcement that Dolk was going to make an official BJD of Shinku, I knew I had to get her. I just absolutely wanted an official BJD of a character from Rozen Maiden, and I knew this was the perfect chance. What I didn't expect was during the preorder, there was such a high traffic of people trying to preorder Shinku, that I struggled to even preorder her! I managed to preorder safely, only to see after thirty minutes after preordering Shinku, she was already sold out! I was so glad I made the decision to preorder her right here and then.

Alongside 2B, she is one of my two girls in my collection, and she is definitely a favorite since she represents something which actually got me into the hobby in the first place.
